On November 8th 2022, the BIND 4.0 Open Innovation Platform announced 67 Startup Finalists with the potential to work on collaborative innovation projects. This year the organizers (The Basque Government together with The Basque Business Development Agency) received more than 700 applications for this year’s editions including participants from not only Spain, and EU, UK, Switzerland but also Turkey, Mexico, Singapore, Japan and choosing 125 semi-finalists before announcing the final group of 67 finalists. 

Comparably to the previous editions, platform registered growing interest in technologies based on Artificial Intelligence, IOT / IIOT, Predictive Maintenance, Artificial Vision and Collaborative Robotics which can be applied across verticals and been presented to 70 corporates during the initial round of the competition.

RVmagnetics was named as one of the nine Finalist in the IOT Category and one of 67 finalists in 10 categories. One of 4 companies from CEE, while 3 others represent Poland tech start up scene.

Prof. Rastislav Varga (CTO of RVmagnetics) spent part of his post-doc in Basque country. This stay had been very important milestone not only for his scientific career but also for building strong use cases for the industrial partners a decade later. “Now it is an exciting prospect, to bring experience back to where an important fundament was originally set,” comments prof.Varga.

BIND 4.0 open innovation program helps Technologies that shape the future of Intelligent Industry, Clean Energy & Sustainability, Health and Food Sectors. Program provides access of participants to collaborate with 70 innovative companies in diverse range of industries leading the Industry 4.0 transition. The technologies of interest expand each year to meet the digital transformation needs of each Venture Client.

On January 27, 2023 organizers will officially announce names of Start-ups Participating in the 7th Edition that will be awarded with Innovation Projects with Corporate Clients.
