Composite Innovation Challenge Cohort 4

We’re proud to share that RVmagnetics has been selected as one of six companies worldwide to participate in Cohort 4 of the Functionalizing Composites challenge by Collab Composite. Out of nearly 80 international applicants, RVmagnetics stood out for its cutting-edge sensor technology, and presented in front of the innovation councils at Saab and Hitachi Energy.

This milestone highlights the potential of our technology to contribute to the next generation of intelligent, multifunctional composite materials. This opportunity was more than just a chance to engage with top engineers and industry leaders—it marks the beginning of something ongoing. More updates coming soon!

Arctic Business

Arctic Businessis a leading incubator based in northern Sweden, supporting entrepreneurs in transforming extraordinary ideas into scalable businesses with national and international reach. Since its founding in 2005, Arctic Business has partnered with over 200 companies—now collectively valued at over SEK 2 billion and employing more than 370 people full-time. With teams located at science parks in Luleå, Piteå, and Skellefteå, the incubator is backed by key regional stakeholders including LTU Holding, Norrlandsfonden, Region Norrbotten, and local municipalities.

SAAB and Hitachi Energy

SAAB and Hitachi Energy have joined forces to develop next-generation solutions for the challenging field of composite materials, where strict industry standards and technical demands prevail. Whether intended for aerospace systems or electrical insulation, both companies navigate shared obstacles in advancing composite technology. This joint effort focuses on transforming traditional composites by incorporating smart capabilities that extend their function beyond structural support. As composites play an increasingly central role in high-performance environments, the goal is to introduce intelligent properties—such as self-monitoring and real-time feedback—that elevate material performance. Together, the partners are working to pioneer multifunctional composites tailored to meet the sophisticated needs of tomorrow’s industries.
