Definition of MicroWire Sensor

The MicroWire sensor is a passive element. It is made of a metallic alloy and a glass coating (1-50 µm and 2-20 µm in diameter). Not only the diameters but also the length makes the sensor a miniaturized component. This and the glass coating mentioned above make it possible to integrate the MicroWire sensor into almost any material.

Essentially it is a magnetized, miniature sensor that provides measurements of physical quantities, such as temperature, pressure, and magnetic field directly. It is also possible to calibrate measurements on electrical current, torsion, torque, vibration, flow, and more.
