Definition of Period

Represents a time of the periodically repeating phenomenon, for example periodically repeating waveform of a signal. The period can be also described through the frequency (f), as a reversed value of 1/f. Waveform periods have usually rising, and falling edges, that are periodically alternating. In the case of a triangular signal, one edge also represents the half-period of the full-period.
