Definition of IoT

The Internet of Things describes the network of physical objects—“things” or objects—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies to connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the Internet.

While internet of things (IOT) commonly refers to use in consumer areas (B2C markets), the industrial internet of things (IIoT) is used for industrial purpose such as manufacturing, supply chain monitoring and management system.
