RVmagnetics’ defence demonstration kit will enable test custom proof-of-concepts in-house, supported by the interest of the NATO DIANA Accelerator.
What if your composite structures could talk revealing temperature shifts, internal pressure points, or early signs of failure, all contactlessly and in real time?
At RVmagnetics, we will make that possible.
Our ultra-thin MicroWire sensors, thinner than a human hair, are redefining what’s possible in aviation, defense, and space. Embedded directly into composite materials with zero strength loss, they provide real-time insights into structural health from delamination and microcracks to vibration and temperature monitoring even in the most extreme environments.
Traditional non-destructive testing methods can’t always provide live feedback, and legacy sensors often weaken materials or fail under extreme conditions. That’s why RVmagnetics developed microwires that integrate seamlessly into defense-grade composites enabling contactless, continuous monitoring across mission-critical assets, from missiles and high-altitude UAVs to satellite panels and naval structures.
Our latest innovation — the Defense and Space Demonstrator — will transform sensing from a lab concept into a practical, defense-ready experimentation platform. It will be developed with defense-compliant electronics, it will allow prime contractors, OEMs, and tier-1 suppliers to build and test custom proof-of-concepts in-house.
Inside, three composite samples — carbon fiber, glass fiber, and Kevlar laminate — showcase real-time measurement of pressure, temperature, vibration, and position through embedded microwires.
We will offer an open experimentation platform because the external sensing head is not a closed system. Open platform will enable you to execute primary and comparative tests in order to compare our technology with existing sensors.
Example of the Open experimentation platform:
This is more than a demo, it’s a gateway to the next generation of smart materials.
Our microwire sensing demonstrator is ready for certification with export controls and planned for deployment in early 2026. The same core technology is being validated for cryogenic to 500 °C conditions, radiation exposure, and manufacturing processes ensuring reliability from orbit to battlefield.
Register your interest today and we'll get back to you once it's ready.
At RVmagnetics, we’re not just adapting to the future — we’re defining it.
Enabling lighter, stronger, and smarter structures, we make it possible to diagnose during production, detect fatigue before failure, and push platforms to their full mission potential.
